Super Bowl 32 featured one of the greatest matchups in the game's history with Brett Favre and defending champion Green Bay Packers taking on John Elway, Terrell Davis, and the Denver Broncos.

Denver entered by winning their first AFC Championship, after suffering four previous Super Bowl losses, and snapped a 13-game losing streak for AFC teams in the Super Bowl. The Broncos also became just the second Wild Card team to win a Super Bowl.

The Packers entered boasting a 13–3 regular-season record, and were the first team favored to win by double digits to lose a Super Bowl since SB IV.

After a close first half in which Broncos converted two turnovers, Denver took a 17–14 going into halftime. The Packers fought back, eventually tying the game with 13:31 remaining.

Despite being kneed in the head and experiencing migraine headaches, which caused him to miss most of the second quarter, Terrell Davis dug deep to score a game winning touchdown with only 1:45 remaining. Davis would go on to be named Super Bowl MVP, rushing for 157 yards and scoring a Super Bowl record three rushing touchdowns.

It was this game that earned the 1998 Broncos a lifetime Mile High Salute!
